However, they MUST be used correctly. People are right in saying they find wasps crawling on top of them, sometimes. That’s because there will already be a nest in the area, and these wasps are attacking what they think is a new interloper’s nest.
Waspinators are used to PREVENT wasps building a nest in the area. If wasps are looking for a nest site, and they see this, they go away. Once their nest is up and running, though, the Waspinator is seen as an invader and it gets attacked.
This means you need to get it put up early in the year. In the spring. If you want to keep them away from your sun lounger or your outdoor eating area, make sure they’re in place long before you need them.
Waspinators (filled with bubble wrap) will deter rogue wasps that blunder into your garden later on in the summertime. The same will apply if you take them on holiday with you. However, they won’t work if there is already a nest nearby.
